Save the Children Celebrates The Day of the African Child

Save the Children is at it again, doing what they do best, saving the world one child at a time. In recognition of The Day of The African Child, several leaders and health advocates met today to discuss their support for increased resources to decrease the infant and child mortality rate in African nations. In Africa, more than 4 million children die each year, almost one quarter in the first 28 days of life, most due to preventable diseases. It is through the support and work of these impressive charitable organizations, health advocates, and national leaders that saves lives and creates change. Without the support of generous citizens and business organizations, these charities would not survive.
